My poor husband is in a tough spot right now, and I'm hoping someone here can help.
His BiPAP machine got recalled by Philips, which is a huge headache because he absolutely cannot sleep without it. Seriously, it's rough!
He's been trying to manage by using those bacteria/virus filters as a stopgap until (hopefully!) Philips finally replaces or fixes the machine. But who knows how long that's going to take, right?
Does anyone have advice on how to get a doctor to approve a new, expensive BiPAP?
We're talking about trying to get an "okay" from his doctor for a replacement since he really can't go without one, and these things aren't cheap.
Or maybe there's a way to make the Phillips fix the machine faster
Any tips on navigating that with insurance or the doctor's office would be amazing!
