I just started using a gel nasal pillow mask, like less than a month and I'm unfortunately getting sores. I'm hoping it's just due to getting some used to but it's also a bit painful and uncomfortable. Also hoping not to buy another nasal pillow mask anytime soon. Does anyone here know what I can do to take care of my sores? Should I stop using my nasal pillow mask for now? I'd appreciate any kind of advice. Thanks!

Haven't experiences something like this, but my doc recommended to apply a thin layer of lanolin to help with potential sores. So far it seems to be working well.

Gettting sores from a nasal pillow mask is pretty common when youre just starting . Try using a bit of lanolin or a nasal gel before bed to reduce rubbing and make sure the fit isnt too tight. If the sores are painful or getting worse, take a short break and maybe try a different sized pillow. If it keeps happening, you might need to switch mask types altogether.
