Can I switch the mask?

I'm currently on CPAP with a full face mask, but it' far from the most comfortable thing in the world, so I was thinking of getting something else. Is it something I should even consider or stick to what I was told to use?

@Prajdimajdi you can definitely switch, but it's best to run it by your provider so the pressure settings still work right. A nasal mask or pillows can feel way less bulky if you're cleared for them.

Switching mask types is actually pretty common, especially if comfort is an issue—many CPAP users find a better fit or easier sleep after trying different styles like nasal masks or nasal pillows, which can be less bulky and more comfortable than full face designs. If you mostly breathe through your nose at night, a nasal mask or pillow could work well, though those who mouth breathe often do best sticking with full face options unless they use something like SomniFix strips for more comfort as a hybrid solution. It's definitely worth discussing mask options and your individual needs with your sleep doctor, as a good fit both improves therapy results and makes nighttime rest a lot easier.

Totally worth considering, @Prajdimajdi. Comfort matters a lot with CPAP, and plenty of people switch masks before finding the right fit. Just loop your provider in so the settings still line up with how you breathe at night.
