Hi all
I stumbled across this forum as a long time subscriber to the Heart Valve forum. I was surprised that these two should be connected, and was wondering whether there is a connection at all.
My effing apnea is caused by having Kyphosis and Costochondritis thanks to being somewhat afflicted with Ankylosing Spondilitis. Its just bloody wonderful how getting older and wiser doesn't bring with it a tsunami of positive health issues.
Having two artificial heart valves due to Endocarditis (generously donated by my damned dentist!) and then the spinal junk due to the Spondilitis has caused me to have difficulty in walking (as I can't breath) but I still manage to push myself to work in the Middle East for about 5 months of the year. Its tough, but both my mind and my bank manager insist that I keep at it for as long as I can, despite being 63 years old.
Anyway - enough of that, and I await the visitation in a couple of hours of my CPAP technician who is coming shortly to check up on me, having dropped off the machine a couple of weeks ago. Hasn't done me ANY favours, unfortunately, so hopefully he can adjust something so that I can get more than 3 hours of sleep at night.
Cheers all
